The Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana, initiated in 2018, stands as the world’s largest publicly funded health assurance scheme. It offers health coverage of up to Rs 5 lakh per family annually for secondary and tertiary care hospitalization. This scheme aims to assist economically vulnerable families, ensuring millions have access to affordable healthcare nationwide.
