Pacer Akash Deep and spin all-rounder Shahbaz Ahmed took five wickets each, restricting Haryana to 100 runs in the Ranji Trophy Elite Group C match. Akash recorded figures of 5-40 off 15 overs, while Shahbaz claimed 5-42 as Haryana crumbled in under 32 overs.

Bengal gained a 93-run lead thanks to the duo’s stellar performance. Sudip Gharami and Abhimanyu Easwaran’s partnership of 109 runs for the second wicket propelled Bengal to 155/3 by the end of day two, extending their lead to 248 runs.

In another match at the Abhimanyu Cricket Academy, Kunal Chandela scored 207 runs off 297 balls, securing his first double century in first-class cricket for Uttarakhand. Uttarakhand declared at 460/7, with Mayank Mishra taking three wickets to put Assam in trouble at 91/4, trailing by 369 runs.

Gujarat posted 352 runs in their first innings at the Maharaja Bir Bikram College Stadium, with skipper Manan Hingrajia contributing 150 runs. Tripura replied strongly, reaching 208/3 at stumps, with Hanuma Vihari and Vijay Shankar stabilizing the innings, supported by Sridam Paul’s 69 runs.

At Palam A Ground in New Delhi, Railways closed day two at 168/6, trailing Services by 175 runs. Ravi Singh top-scored with 55 runs for Railways, while Zubair Ali remained unbeaten on 45. Arjun Sharma stood out for Services with figures of 3-45 in 11 overs.
