Bengaluru and Delhi-NCR account for more than half of India’s Artificial Intelligence job opportunities, with Bengaluru alone holding a 25.4% share, as per a report by CBRE South Asia Private Limited. The analysis, based on over 64,500 active job listings on Naukri.com as of December 2025, revealed Delhi-NCR at 24.8% and Mumbai at 19.2%. Together, these three cities collectively represent nearly 70% of all AI-related job openings in the country.
Engineering (Software & Quality Assurance), Data Science & Analytics, and Customer Success, Service & Operations are identified as the top three domains driving AI recruitment, according to the report. This trend signifies AI’s increasing influence across core development and front-end business functions, the firm highlighted.
The surge in AI-related positions aligns with record office leasing activities, with Bengaluru leading 2025 office absorption at 26% and total leasing activity hitting 82.6 million square feet. Delhi-NCR, distinct from IT-focused hubs, experiences substantial AI demand from various sectors like consulting, fintech, healthcare, and public-sector initiatives.
Anshuman Magazine, Chairman & CEO – India, South-East Asia, and MEA at CBRE, emphasized that AI’s rising demand reflects a significant shift in how global enterprises perceive India. It is seen as a center for end-to-end innovation rather than just service delivery, potentially reshaping the country’s economic landscape and global digital value chain position.
