Notably, there has been a positive net movement of leaders in the past year, with 560 new leaders joining and 390 leaving. Kamal Karanth, Co-founder of Xpheno, emphasized that Bengaluru’s robust leadership attributes, including experience and global exposure, make it a preferred destination for global enterprises establishing capability centers.
Bengaluru’s GCC leadership base is primarily driven by the BFSI sector, which constitutes 80% of the leadership pool, followed by IT/ITeS at 11% and Manufacturing at 4%. These sectors collectively contribute to over 95% of Bengaluru’s GCC leadership talent pool. The report also notes a shift in Bengaluru’s GCC landscape towards diverse strengths, with a growing demand for leadership roles in sales, finance, operations, HR, and IT, accounting for more than 90% of leadership positions.
