Bengaluru City Police have released a public advisory ahead of the Tata IPL 2026 final set for May 31, urging citizens and cricket enthusiasts to uphold law and order and refrain from public celebrations post-match.
As Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) secures a spot in the Tata IPL 2026 final, stringent safety measures and restrictions will be implemented citywide to prevent any untoward incidents and ensure public safety. The police have explicitly directed against public celebrations in the aftermath of the final match outcome.
The advisory includes instructions not to set up LED walls along roads without proper authorization and to refrain from using existing LED walls for public screening of the match. Additionally, the installation of screens outside malls, pubs, and other establishments visible to the public for match viewing is strictly prohibited.
Furthermore, the advisory prohibits the use of fireworks and hazardous materials during celebrations, emphasizing the importance of maintaining peace and order, especially in crowded areas. Traffic-related offenses such as bike rallies, speeding, stunts, horn misuse, and road blockages have been strictly banned, with the public urged to comply with all traffic police directives.
Citizens are also warned against public alcohol consumption, causing disturbances, engaging in altercations, or displaying indecent behavior. The advisory cautions against sharing provocative content, hate speech, or rumors on social media platforms, specifically advising fans against instigating clashes or law enforcement issues with supporters of rival teams.
The police, in the advisory, stress that upholding law and order, public peace, and safety is a collective responsibility, urging cooperation from the public during the upcoming IPL final.
