Continuing her impressive run in junior tennis, 13-year-old Srishti Kiran from Bengaluru has reached the top spot in the Under-13 age group rankings. Srishti’s recent success includes winning five consecutive ITF junior titles and finishing as a runner-up at the ITF World Tennis Tour Juniors J100 Guatemala.
Her exceptional performance has elevated her to a career-high ITF Junior ranking of No. 357, making her the highest-ranked player globally in the Under-13 category. Despite participating in only eight ranking events, two less than many of her competitors, financial and logistical challenges did not deter her from achieving this milestone.
Srishti expressed her joy at attaining the World No. 1 position, attributing her success to hard work and the support of her coaches and family. She acknowledged the need for continuous improvement in her game despite recent victories and emphasized the long journey ahead.
Srishti’s upcoming tennis campaign will take her to Europe, where she aims to compete in a prestigious J300 event in the United Kingdom. This tournament serves as a crucial lead-up to the renowned Wimbledon Junior Championships, a dream opportunity for the young player.
