First-round matches at the KPB Trust ITF Women’s Open W100 Bengaluru 2026 on Wednesday saw Shrivalli Rashmikaa Bhamidipaty, Sahaja Yamlapali, and Vaishnavi Adkar move into the Round of 16. Bhamidipaty narrowly defeated Francesca Curmi 7-6(6), 6-4 in an intense women’s singles match at the SM Krishna Tennis Stadium. The match started with a tight first set where both players showed skill and determination.

Bhamidipaty managed to secure a break early in the second set to take the lead. As the game progressed, Curmi seemed to struggle, making unforced errors that allowed Bhamidipaty to break again. Despite Curmi’s attempt to fight back, Bhamidipaty maintained her focus and closed out the set 6-4. In another match, Maaya Rajeshwaran Revathi faced a tough loss to fifth seed Polina Iatcenko after a series of ups and downs in their game.

Top seed Talia Gibson also advanced with a strong 6-4, 6-0 win over Vaidehee Chaudhari, while other top seeds like Hanne Vandewinkel and Lanlana Tararudee secured victories in their matches. The competition saw some close matches, with players like Elena Pridankina narrowly beating their opponents. The day ended with exciting women’s doubles matches as well.

Thursday promises more thrilling matches as Bhamidipaty gears up to face third seed Hanne Vandewinkel in the second round. Vaishnavi Adkar will also have a challenging match against eighth seed Mai Hontama. The competition is heating up as players strive to advance in the tournament.
