After successful operations in cities like Delhi, Lucknow, Mumbai, and Chandigarh, the cooperative-based “Bharat Taxi” service is expanding to Jaipur and other cities, with the Jaipur launch scheduled for early June.
Rajasthan’s Minister of State for Cooperation, Gautam Kumar Dak, announced the upcoming launch of “Bharat Taxi” in Jaipur, emphasizing its goal of providing affordable and secure transportation options while empowering taxi drivers economically.
This unique taxi service model ensures that drivers themselves become company owners, focusing on principles of ownership, security, respect, and fair profit-sharing. Drivers will have more control over their earnings and will not face arbitrary practices common in private companies.
The cooperative taxi model is expected to enhance drivers’ choices, confidence, and economic well-being, ultimately making Rajasthan a role model for the successful implementation of Bharat Taxi.
