Bharat Tex 2026, India’s largest global textile event, is set to commence in New Delhi on Tuesday. The event will bring together over 7,000 buyers, 1,600 exhibitors, and delegates from 20 countries to showcase India’s textile value chain and enhance global trade partnerships. Organized by the Bharat Tex Trade Federation, supported by the Ministry of Textiles, the four-day event from July 14 to July 17 will be inaugurated by Union Minister for Textiles Giriraj Singh.
The event is anticipated to host more than 4,000 business-to-business (B2B) meetings, 100 business-to-government (B2G) interactions, and witness the signing of over 30 memorandums of understanding (MoUs) focusing on trade, investment, technology, sustainability, and market access. With expectations of drawing over 1.3 lakh trade visitors, the event will exhibit a wide array of textile products across 1.6 million square feet of exhibition space.
Featuring a diverse representation of the textile value chain, the event will include exhibitors showcasing fibre, yarn, fabrics, apparel, home textiles, technical textiles, and ancillary industries. International participation from 14 countries, including the US, the UK, Japan, Portugal, Spain, South Korea, South Africa, and New Zealand, is expected, along with institutional representation from the United Nations and the European Union.
Partner states such as Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Karnataka, and Tamil Nadu will be actively participating, while nine other states and Union Territories will also highlight their textile capabilities at the event. The event agenda encompasses more than 100 knowledge sessions, covering various themes like trade and investment, sustainability, technical textiles, Industry 5.0, innovation, global sourcing, and policy discussions.
