Bharat Tex 2026, India’s prominent textile exhibition, attracted over 6,000 international buyers from 130 countries and 1.3 lakh trade visitors to Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi. The event, spanning 1.6 million square feet, showcased more than 20,000 textile products, emphasizing traditional art forms on a global platform.
Featuring the entire textile value chain, from fiber to handicrafts, Bharat Tex 2026 highlighted Tikuli art from Bihar, known for its vibrant colors and intricate enamel work. The exhibition also provided a platform for the Niryaatak Handloom Cooperative Society Limited, enabling about 120 weavers to display their handloom products to international buyers.
With participation from exhibitors, buyers, policymakers, and stakeholders from India and abroad, the event underscored the increasing global confidence in India’s textile sector. Boasting over 1,600 exhibitors and 11,000 buyers, Bharat Tex 2026 facilitated numerous business interactions and secured investment commitments exceeding 14,300 crore rupees.
Running concurrently, Indie Haat 2026 at the National Crafts Museum in Delhi celebrated India’s handloom and handicraft heritage. The exhibition featured 48 artisans, 12 design-led brands, and various regional crafts like Gulabi Minakari, Dokra, Sozni embroidery, and Jamdani sarees, among others.
