The BHAVYA scheme, led by DPIIT Secretary Amardeep Singh Bhatia, focuses on creating investment-ready industrial parks to attract industries and enhance India’s manufacturing sector. Bhatia emphasized that the success of the scheme hinges on industrial parks’ ability to attract investors and become operational manufacturing centers, not just on infrastructure development. States and Union Territories were urged to submit investor-friendly proposals to facilitate business operations efficiently.
The BHAVYA scheme prioritizes long-term industrial sustainability and investment attractiveness in evaluating projects. Bhatia highlighted the scheme’s goal of establishing industrial parks that swiftly translate infrastructure readiness into investments, manufacturing activities, job creation, and export competitiveness. The recent workshop, organized by DPIIT, shed light on the BHAVYA Scheme’s framework and the testing facilities provided by NTH and BIS.
NICDC’s CEO Rajat Kumar Saini stressed the significance of creating investment-friendly industrial ecosystems supported by robust infrastructure and testing facilities. The workshop, attended by over 100 representatives from various States and Union Territories, emphasized the importance of quality infrastructure and testing facilities in industrial development. NTH’s Director General, Dr. Alok Srivastav, showcased the organization’s diverse testing and certification services, including drone certification, EV battery testing, and more.
