Bihar, like the rest of the nation, marked the 77th Republic Day with patriotic zeal and elaborate ceremonies. In Patna’s Gandhi Maidan, a grand event was held where a multitude gathered to witness the celebrations. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar kicked off the day by hoisting the national flag at his official residence before heading to the Maidan.

CM Nitish Kumar, in a social media post, extended his Republic Day wishes, expressing heartfelt greetings to the people of Bihar. Lalu Prasad Yadav, the RJD supremo, also hoisted the national flag at his residence on Circular Road in Patna, with the ceremony witnessing the presence of senior RJD leaders and supporters.

At the Bihar Legislative Assembly, Speaker Prem Kumar led the flag hoisting ceremony, emphasizing the importance of democracy, the Constitution, and national unity. Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary, at his official residence, highlighted the significance of civic duties in his Republic Day message.

Republic Day celebrations are being observed across all districts in Bihar, featuring flag hoisting, cultural programs, and patriotic events at various public locations, showcasing the essence of democracy, unity, and constitutional values.
