Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary launched the Bihar AI Summit-2026 at the Urja Auditorium in Patna, emphasizing the increasing significance of technology and Artificial Intelligence (AI) in governance and law enforcement.
Choudhary highlighted the state’s progress and encouraged Bihar residents living elsewhere to return and contribute to its advancement. He discussed the utilization of AI in policing and administration, mentioning the implementation of AI-powered surveillance systems for swift identification and apprehension of criminals.
The Chief Minister clarified his comments on green ‘gamchas’ during the event, stating that they were not aimed at any specific community but aimed to showcase how AI tools aid law enforcement in identifying suspects promptly. He stressed that criminals are devoid of caste or religion and affirmed equal application of the law without bias.
Choudhary affirmed that the police have been granted full operational autonomy to bolster law enforcement and ensure effective governance. He cautioned against challenging the police or disrupting public order, promising stringent action against such behavior.
The Chief Minister reiterated Bihar’s commitment to combatting crime through expedited trials and a robust administrative structure, emphasizing that caste or religion would not influence actions against criminal elements, with strict punishment for those defying the law.
