Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, as part of the Samridhi Yatra, visited Motihari in East Champaran district to oversee various development projects. He inaugurated projects worth Rs 138 crore and laid the foundation stone for projects worth Rs 34 crore. Kumar also inspected the progress of development works and welfare schemes in the district.
During his visit, Nitish Kumar interacted with students at the Women’s ITI in Motihari and reviewed the construction of bridges in Manjuraha village. He emphasized the importance of timely completion of projects and urged officials to work with commitment and sensitivity. The Chief Minister also engaged in a public interaction program at Gandhi Maidan in Motihari.
Accompanied by senior leaders, including Deputy Chief Ministers and the Water Resources Minister, Kumar reviewed various development projects and livelihood activities in East Champaran. The focus of the Samridhi Yatra is on public welfare and strengthening Bihar’s future through developmental initiatives. Additionally, Nitish Kumar participated in the installation ceremony of the world’s heaviest Shivling at the Virat Ramayan Temple in Motihari.
In a separate event, the Chief Minister paid tribute to freedom fighters at a state ceremony in Patna district. He honored the statues of renowned figures like Nathun Singh Yadav and emphasized the government’s commitment to Bihar’s progress and public welfare.
