Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary pledged to ensure effective justice delivery at the grassroots level by directly supervising block, ‘Anchal’, and police station administrations from the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO). During the Vote of Confidence in the Bihar Legislative Assembly, he emphasized a strong stance on law enforcement and women’s safety, promising relentless pursuit of those who harm women.
Choudhary asserted that his office will have direct oversight over key administrative units to enhance governance, ensure timely public service delivery, and boost administrative accountability. He assured citizens of prompt access to essential services without unnecessary delays, underscoring the Bihar Police’s commitment to taking strict action against criminals, especially those targeting women.
The Chief Minister also highlighted governance reforms such as the Bihar Land Portal, e-Mutation services, and e-Measurement systems, aiming to streamline processes and improve service delivery. Additionally, he announced an increased compensation of Rs 8 lakh for road accident victims, with Rs 4 lakh each from insurance companies and the state government, responding to demands for better support to victims’ families.
Choudhary outlined plans to establish model schools at the block level, upgrade district-level schools, and enhance public education infrastructure, aligning with Nitish Kumar’s vision. He emphasized the government’s commitment to strengthening the education system, with around 5 lakh teachers already recruited and ongoing efforts to further enhance educational standards.
In his address during the trust vote, Choudhary laid out a governance roadmap focusing on administrative accountability, women’s safety, welfare measures, and education reforms, signaling a concerted effort towards improved grassroots governance and enhanced public service delivery in Bihar.
