Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha has taken a strong stance against illegal billboards and unauthorized parking in Patna. Sinha, addressing the media in Patna, highlighted the presence of over 1,000 billboards in the city, with more than 800 being privately installed, many without proper authorization.
He directed officials to promptly and decisively address the issue by removing all illegal billboards and conducting a thorough survey to identify unauthorized parking areas. Sinha emphasized the need to bring such facilities under the government’s revenue framework transparently.
Sinha issued a stern warning that any activities leading to government revenue loss or supporting illegal practices would not be tolerated. He assured that strict action would be taken against those involved in such activities, including erring officials.
Highlighting the significance of ‘Vande Mataram,’ Sinha praised India as the only country referred to as “Mother.” He expressed pride in singing ‘Vande Mataram’ along with the national anthem and national song in the Bihar Assembly, considering it a symbol of independence, nationalism, and unity.
Reacting to recent derogatory comments by the RJD against Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Sinha labeled them as a reflection of the opposition’s frustration and political disillusionment. He urged opposition parties, particularly the RJD and Congress, to uphold democratic principles and respect the people’s mandate.
