The Bihar government has requested a CBI investigation into the death of a NEET aspirant at a women’s hostel in Patna to ensure a transparent and impartial inquiry. Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary confirmed the request made by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar for a thorough investigation into the incident. Bihar Minister Dilip Kumar Jaiswal emphasized the need to uncover the truth amidst rumors defaming the Bihar Police and government.
Multiple pieces of evidence, including video footage and call detail records, have been collected by the SIT investigating the case. JD(U) national spokesperson Rajeev Ranjan Prasad assured that justice would prevail, with the SIT working diligently to deliver a fair conclusion. Bihar Minister Lakhendra Paswan affirmed that legal actions are being pursued against all involved parties to ensure justice is served.
The victim, a NEET aspirant from Jehanabad district, was found unconscious in her hostel room and later succumbed to her injuries after days in a coma. Allegations of sexual assault have been made by the victim’s family, who have criticized the handling of the case and demanded a high-level probe.
