The Bihar government has instructed all districts to be vigilant in preventing black marketing and illegal storage of domestic LPG cylinders. Development Commissioner Mihir Kumar Singh led a high-level meeting with district officials and police to address concerns in the current global energy scenario. The meeting emphasized the need to curb unauthorized sale and storage of LPG cylinders.
Senior officials, including Director General of Police Vinay Kumar and Additional Chief Secretary Arvind Kumar Chaudhary, were present at the meeting. They stressed the importance of cracking down on irregularities related to LPG distribution. Officials were directed to conduct monitoring drives and inspections to ensure compliance with regulations.
To tackle black market activities, officials were urged to establish control rooms in all districts to address public complaints promptly. The state government assured consumers of an adequate supply of LPG cylinders and emphasized the importance of maintaining a smooth distribution system. Representatives from petroleum companies confirmed the normalcy of petrol, diesel, and PNG gas supplies in Bihar.
