The Biju Janata Dal (BJD) has expressed serious concerns over the alleged murder of a trader, S.K. Hamid, in the Remuna area of Baleswar district. The victim was reportedly shot by unknown bike-borne miscreants in broad daylight at Arad Bazar in Baleswar town.
In response to the incident, the BJD has formed a team of senior party leaders to conduct an on-ground assessment of the situation. The team, under the direction of BJD President Naveen Patnaik, aims to visit Baleswar, interact with stakeholders, and understand the circumstances surrounding the crime.
The delegation, led by BJD district President Jyoti Prakash Panigrahi, will engage with the Baleswar Bazar Committee, local traders, and the victim’s family. They will also push for a thorough investigation by the police administration and demand swift action against those responsible for the crime.
