The Karnataka BJP accused of a plot to disrupt communal peace and intimidate Hindus after violence marred the Kara Hunnime festivities in Naregal village. The clash, stemming from a dispute over firecrackers during a bull procession, left six injured in Haveri district.

BJP’s B.Y. Vijayendra visited the site and the hospital to support the victims. He claimed that the Kuruba community was targeted during the traditional celebrations, alleging a deliberate attempt to unsettle the area and harass Hindus. Vijayendra criticized the police’s alleged bias and delay in arrests, warning of public outrage if swift action is not taken.

The BJP leader urged the Chief Minister and Home Minister to intervene, emphasizing the need for prompt arrests to prevent further unrest. He criticized the local MLA for alleged inaction and called for protection of all communities to avoid escalation.
