As per the latest trends, the Mahayuti alliance is set for a significant victory in the Maharashtra civic polls. Former Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai expressed confidence in the BJP and JD(S) alliance emerging victorious in the Greater Bengaluru Authority (GBA) elections.
Bommai, a BJP MP, took to social media to announce the remarkable success of the BJP and the Shiv Sena (Eknath Shinde faction) in various urban local body elections in Maharashtra. He extended his sincere congratulations to key leaders, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah, for their roles in this unprecedented triumph.
Looking ahead to the elections in the five municipal corporations under the GBA limits, Bommai asserted the certainty of victory for the BJP–JD(S) alliance. He also remarked that this election marks the beginning of a challenging phase for the Congress party.
The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) elections have seen Mahayuti crossing the halfway mark, while the Thackeray camp fell short of expectations. A total of 2,869 seats across 893 wards in 29 civic bodies in Maharashtra were contested in the recent polls, determining the political fate of thousands of candidates.
