The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Uttar Pradesh has unveiled a fresh organizational lineup in preparation for the upcoming state Assembly elections. The restructuring, led by state president Pankaj Chaudhary, introduces appointments to key roles, with 19 state vice presidents, eight state general secretaries, and 19 state secretaries being named. This move aims to ensure a balanced representation across social segments and regions, while also integrating new faces into significant roles.
The newly appointed state vice presidents include notable figures such as Suresh Rana, Satyapal Saini, and Priyanka Rawat, among others. Similarly, individuals like Ram Pratap Singh Chauhan and Geeta Shakya have been designated as state general secretaries. Additionally, the list of state secretaries features names like Vijay Shivhare, Basant Tyagi, and Rahul Valmiki, reflecting a diverse composition aimed at accommodating various groups within the party.
To enhance organizational efficiency, Bharat Dixit has been assigned the role of office secretary, with Atul Awasthi and Lakshman Singh appointed as joint office secretaries. Furthermore, key positions such as chief spokesperson, state media coordinator, and state social media coordinator have been filled by Dinesh Pratap Singh, Manish Dixit, and Himanshuraj Pandit, respectively. The BJP has also designated presidents for its different frontal organizations, including the youth wing, OBC wing, farmers’ wing, SC wing, women’s wing, and ST wing.
This strategic restructuring of the BJP’s organizational team is seen as a crucial step to invigorate grassroots supporters, expand its social outreach, and consolidate its political influence across various regions in the lead-up to the state Assembly elections.
