The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has named Ajaey Kumar as the new State General Secretary (Organisation) for its Rajasthan unit. Ajaey Kumar, who started his public career as an RSS Pracharak, brings a wealth of grassroots experience to his new role. He previously served as the State General Secretary (Organisation) for Uttarakhand.
The appointment of Ajaey Kumar is effective immediately, filling a vacancy that existed since January 2024. This position became open after Chandrashekhar, the previous organisation secretary, was transferred to Telangana following the BJP’s success in the Rajasthan Assembly polls. Chandrashekhar had played a pivotal role in revitalizing the party’s organizational structure in the state.
Before his assignment in Uttarakhand, Ajaey Kumar had a successful stint as the BJP’s General Secretary (Organization) for the Western region (Meerut Division) of Uttar Pradesh. The party’s move to appoint him underscores its commitment to strengthening its grassroots presence in Rajasthan ahead of upcoming local elections.
Copies of the appointment letter have been circulated to various party officials, including national office bearers, state in-charges, state presidents, the Chief Minister of Rajasthan, and the Office of the National President and National General Secretary (Organisation).
