Prime Minister Narendra Modi and US President Donald Trump discussed the situation in West Asia and the importance of keeping the Strait of Hormuz open. The BJP praised this as a positive move, expressing hope for peace. Opposition leaders are urging for transparency and details of the conversation to be shared in Parliament.

Union Minister Ramdas Athawale mentioned that the discussion likely focused on de-escalating tensions in the ongoing conflict. He emphasized the need for peace to prevent global challenges like rising fuel prices. Athawale stated that Prime Minister Modi’s role has always been to ensure peace and a halt to war.

BJP MP Shashank Mani Tripathi expressed optimism, suggesting a potential pause in the conflict. He highlighted Prime Minister Modi’s efforts in engaging with West Asian leaders to promote peace. Meanwhile, Opposition parties are questioning the government’s approach and advocating for a more proactive stance from India in mediating the conflict.
