Celebrations have erupted in Madhya Pradesh’s Bharatiya Janata Party offices following the latest electoral trends from West Bengal. Party workers marked the occasion with drum beats, fireworks, and the distribution of “Jhalmuri,” a popular Bengali street snack. Leaders like Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, and state party president Hemant Khandelwal expressed that the people of Bengal have shown a clear desire for change and liberation from the current administration.
The BJP has reportedly surpassed the majority mark in West Bengal, indicating a significant shift in the state’s political landscape. Chief Minister Mohan Yadav thanked voters across Bengal, Assam, Kerala, and Tamil Nadu while criticizing Mamata Banerjee’s governance style for the election results. Yadav highlighted the BJP’s growing influence in regions like Anga, Banga, and Kalinga, emphasizing nationalist victories in Assam against “infiltrators.”
Reflecting on Bengal’s history, CM Yadav recalled its prosperous past before Independence and blamed the Congress, Communists, and Trinamool Congress for its decline. He stated that the state’s backwardness is due to poor leadership, particularly criticizing the TMC for Bengal’s current state. Yadav praised the people of Bengal for resisting manipulative tactics and violence during the elections, commending their resilience and patience.
Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan celebrated the victory in Bhopal, attributing it to Prime Minister Modi’s leadership. Chouhan expressed that the win fulfills a longstanding resolve and symbolizes a rejection of divisive politics across the nation. He credited the nation’s trust in the Prime Minister for making the victory possible.
