Madhya Pradesh Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya of the BJP alleged that Congress leaders themselves provided details about a pending case against their Rajya Sabha candidate, Meenakshi Natarajan. The BJP raised concerns earlier in the day, accusing Natarajan of hiding information about a case in a Telangana court. Minister Vijayvargiya emphasized the importance of transparency, stating that justice prevailed with the cancellation of Natarajan’s nomination.
Referring to the BJP’s candidate Mahesh Kewat, Minister Vijayvargiya expressed confidence in Kewat’s victory even if elections were conducted. He criticized the Congress, suggesting that the party’s own members might have leaked the information. The Minister highlighted the public’s trust in Prime Minister Narendra Modi as a key factor in the BJP’s electoral success.
BJP’s Rajya Sabha candidate, Mahesh Kewat, hailed the cancellation as a victory for the party’s principles and thanked the leadership for their support. Another BJP member, Bhagwandas Sabnani, viewed the nomination cancellation as a triumph for constitutional integrity. In contrast, Congress MP K.C. Venugopal criticized the decision as undemocratic, questioning the rejection without a clear explanation.
