The BJP criticized Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, accusing her government of exploiting the minority community to create a strong reliance on the ruling syndicate. They claimed that Banerjee’s actions revealed a calculated strategy to use insecurity as a weapon, disrupt national unity, and endanger peace in West Bengal. The party highlighted that the Muslim community in West Bengal has reportedly faced poor living conditions under the Trinamool Congress rule, with little effort made to improve their social, financial, or educational status.
The state BJP president, Samik Bhattacharya, emphasized the dire situation of the Muslim population in West Bengal, alleging that they have been deliberately marginalized and deprived of opportunities by the current government. The BJP further stated that a significant number of Muslim youths in the state are engaged in laborious migrant work, and there is a high representation of Muslims in state jails. They criticized Banerjee for allegedly instilling fear among the minority community for political gains instead of focusing on their development and well-being.
According to the BJP, they view themselves as the final defense against what they perceive as a destructive agenda targeting West Bengal. The party vowed to resist any attempts to harm the state’s interests and promised to strive for a prosperous and secure future for West Bengal.
