As per exit polls, the BJP is expected to make significant gains in West Bengal and Assam, with hopes of forming “double-engine governments” in both states. In West Bengal, projections suggest the BJP could secure 146–161 seats with a vote share of around 42.5%. Meanwhile, in Tamil Nadu, the DMK-led alliance is predicted to retain power, and a close contest is anticipated in Kerala.

Bihar BJP President Sanjay Saraogi, while cautious about the exit polls, hinted at a potential BJP victory in West Bengal. He highlighted the peaceful voting environment and increased voter turnout in the state.
Several leaders, including JD(U) Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Kumar Jha and Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, echoed the sentiment of a BJP victory in Bengal. Delhi Minister Kapil Mishra added a humorous touch to the political atmosphere, anticipating a saffron wave on May 4.
