The BJP has intensified its criticism of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for supporting the shirtless protest by Indian Youth Congress workers at the recent Artificial Intelligence (AI) Summit. BJP MP Sambit Patra accused Rahul Gandhi of betraying the nation for his political agenda, likening him to historical traitors like Mir Jafar. Patra condemned the Congress for choosing to embarrass India at an event attended by global leaders and tech experts.
Patra highlighted Rahul’s behavior at the All India Congress podium, where he praised the IYC workers for their protest, suggesting it was a planned move to shame the country. Referring to Rahul’s demeanor as similar to that of a traitor, Patra criticized the Congress leader for his actions. The BJP labeled the IYC protest as “topless, brainless, and shameless,” attributing the planning of the protest to Rahul Gandhi.
The BJP also criticized Rahul Gandhi for attending Parliament in a track suit, questioning his respect for the institution and fellow members. Earlier, the BJP invoked Jawaharlal Nehru to contrast the party’s current stance on nationalism with that of the Congress’s ideological roots. BJP’s IT cell chief Amit Malviya condemned the Congress for representing India through disruption and indecency at a forum discussing Artificial Intelligence.
