The Karnataka unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) organized a protest rally in Ballari, accusing an attempted murder on BJP MLA Gali Janardhana Reddy. Party leaders called for the immediate arrest of Congress MLA Nara Bharath Reddy and requested the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to take over the case.
The rally, held at the APMC Market area, saw a large turnout of party workers denouncing the handling of the shooting incident by the Congress-led government. State BJP President B.Y. Vijayendra, Leader of the Opposition R. Ashoka, and several other prominent leaders were present at the event.
