The Karnataka unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) organized a protest rally in Ballari, accusing an attempted murder on BJP MLA Gali Janardhana Reddy. Party leaders called for the immediate arrest of Congress MLA Nara Bharath Reddy and requested the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to take over the case.

The rally, held at the APMC Market area, saw a large turnout of party workers denouncing the handling of the shooting incident by the Congress-led government. State BJP President B.Y. Vijayendra, Leader of the Opposition R. Ashoka, and several other prominent leaders were present at the event.

During the gathering, Vijayendra dismissed rumors of internal party conflicts causing the cancellation of the Ballari padyatra. He clarified that the march would proceed as planned under the guidance of the central leadership. Former Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai highlighted the alliance between Janardhan Reddy and B. Sriramulu, emphasizing their impact on the local political landscape.

Bommai challenged the opposition’s actions, stating that no amount of intimidation could weaken their resolve. MP Govind Karjol accused Congress MLA Bharath Reddy of involving contract killers in the shooting incident and demanded swift action from the authorities. The leaders reiterated their commitment to upholding constitutional values in the face of adversity.
