BJP Kerala President and MLA, Rajeev Chandrasekhar, criticized a section of the Malayalam media for allegedly spreading false and unverified news against the party. He expressed concern over what he called a deliberate campaign by certain media outlets to tarnish the party’s image without verifying facts.
Rajeev Chandrasekhar highlighted that the reports published were baseless and lacked factual accuracy. He emphasized the importance of ethical journalism practices and urged journalists to prioritize truth and accuracy in their reporting to avoid misleading the public.
The BJP’s Kerala unit has faced internal conflicts similar to other political parties in the state. The central leadership has previously cautioned against factionalism within the party, aiming to promote unity and strengthen the organizational structure under Rajeev Chandrasekhar’s leadership.
Rajeev Chandrasekhar, a former Union Minister with limited prior political involvement in Kerala, was appointed as the Kerala unit president to bridge internal divides and enhance organizational cohesion. He reaffirmed the party’s commitment to public service and the development of Kerala, emphasizing the need to stay focused on constructive goals amid political distractions.
