The BJP has unveiled a documentary named ‘The Silent Invasion’ as part of its campaign against the Trinamool Congress in West Bengal. The film aims to raise awareness about the dangers posed by increasing illegal infiltration and the use of fake identity documents. According to the BJP, this infiltration poses a threat to both the socio-economic fabric of West Bengal and national security.

The documentary’s first episode, ‘Ticking Time Bomb,’ highlights the apprehension of illegal operatives associated with groups like Al-Qaeda and JMB in India, including the recent Operation Praghat in Assam. It also references a 2025 Guwahati High Court remark that labels this influx as a ‘silent and invidious demographic invasion’ comparable to external aggression.

The film exposes a scheme to erase cultural identities and manipulate democratic processes. It reveals practices such as the pricing of forged Indian identity documents, destruction of evidence during the Special Intensive Revision to avoid detection by the Election Commission of India, and mass migration through the international borders with Bangladesh.

The BJP emphasizes the importance of recognizing and addressing the issue of silent demographic re-engineering to safeguard the identity, land, and nation from what they term as a ‘silent invasion.’
