BJP leader Sandeep Vachaspati has alleged a conspiracy by political figures against Kantarar Rajeevar, the priest involved in the Sabarimala gold theft case. Vachaspati, known for translating speeches of top BJP leaders, criticized the arrest of the temple’s priest as unjust and politically driven. He emphasized that the tantri’s arrest was unwarranted and aimed at tarnishing his reputation.
Sandeep Vachaspati pointed out that the tantri is obligated to follow directives from the Devaswom Board and accused ministers and officials of orchestrating the gold robbery. Despite the court granting bail to the tantri and stating lack of evidence against him, Vachaspati alleged that certain political leaders were deflecting blame onto the priest. He also criticized delays in charging those who later obtained bail, suggesting an attempt to shield the real culprits.
Welcoming the tantri’s bail as a legal victory, Sandeep Vachaspati condemned attempts to defame the community and discredit revered Acharyas. He affirmed the BJP’s commitment to seeking justice for the theft and holding accountable both the actual thief and the political figures involved. Vachaspati’s statements reflect the BJP’s ongoing focus on the case, linking political responsibility to the pursuit of justice.
