Senior BJP leader Ajanta Neog expressed gratitude for the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and various Chief Ministers and leaders at the swearing-in ceremony of the new Assam government. Neog, who took oath as a Minister in the third BJP-led government in Assam, described the event as historic and emotional for the party and the state. She highlighted the significance of the Prime Minister and other dignitaries blessing the new government under Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma’s leadership.
Neog, the only woman legislator among the newly sworn-in Ministers, emphasized the importance of women’s participation and empowerment in governance. She commended CM Sarma’s efforts in promoting women-centric initiatives and creating more opportunities for women in development. Neog expressed hope that the government, under Sarma’s guidance, would continue its dedicated work for the welfare of all societal segments.
The oath-taking ceremony, attended by top BJP and NDA leaders like Amit Shah and Rajnath Singh, witnessed a massive turnout of supporters and party workers from across Assam. The event, held at the Khanapara playground in Guwahati, was a significant political gathering. Tight security measures were implemented in Guwahati due to the presence of PM Modi and other prominent figures.
