Punjab BJP President Kewal Singh Dhillon criticized the Punjab AAP government, labeling the subsidised urea fertiliser provided by the Central government as a front for corruption. Dhillon alleged collusion at high levels, demanding a CBI investigation into the matter.
Dhillon highlighted the Central government’s efforts to support farmers by offering subsidised urea at a significantly reduced price. However, he accused the Punjab government of aiding a fertiliser mafia that diverted these benefits meant for farmers to government facilities.
The BJP leader expressed concern over the lack of documentation for thousands of bags of subsidised fertiliser found at government plants, indicating possible involvement of senior officials and political figures in the scam. Dhillon emphasized the need for accountability and urged for a thorough investigation to uncover the truth behind the scandal.
