Senior Bharatiya Janata Party leader R. Ashoka revealed plans for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s forthcoming visit to Bengaluru following the conclusion of elections in five states. Ashoka emphasized the party’s global recognition for its accomplishments, noting even the U.S. President’s acknowledgment of the Prime Minister. He expressed pride in the BJP forming a government in West Bengal for the first time.
Ashoka confirmed that Narendra Modi would address the public in Bengaluru, describing the event as open to all. He urged party members and the public to participate, highlighting ongoing preparations and meetings to ensure a smooth event. Additionally, he outlined arrangements for party workers from specific constituencies to attend the program in Chitradurga and Bengaluru.
Regarding the recent bypoll results, Ashoka cautioned against using them as a yardstick for Assembly elections. He pointed out that while the BJP had won 15 by-elections during its tenure, it did not secure victory in the subsequent Assembly elections. Ashoka stressed that bypoll outcomes do not reliably predict Assembly election results.
Preparations are underway for a grand felicitation program in Karnataka as Narendra Modi is set to visit Bengaluru on May 10. The visit follows the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance’s success in the recent Assembly elections. Ashoka led a preparatory meeting attended by various party leaders. Modi’s visit coincides with the 45th anniversary celebrations of the Art of Living and the 70th birthday of Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, where he will deliver a keynote address and inaugurate new initiatives.
