BJP leader Sudhanshu Trivedi praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi as a man from a humble background, referring to him as “Gudri Ke Lal”. He contrasted this with the Congress’s leadership, labeling them as “Jawahar Ke Lal”.
Trivedi highlighted the difference in organizational structures between the BJP and Congress, emphasizing the BJP’s inclusivity for ground-level workers to progress. He pointed out that while the BJP provides opportunities for all workers to advance, the Congress is predominantly controlled by the Nehru-Gandhi family.
Responding to media queries about a social media post by Congress leader Digvijaya Singh, Trivedi discussed a 1996 photo featuring PM Modi and senior BJP leader L.K. Advani. He commended the BJP and RSS for offering avenues for grassroots workers to ascend to prominent positions like Chief Minister and Prime Minister.
Trivedi underscored the significance of the shared photograph, depicting PM Modi’s journey from a young party worker to a prominent leader. He noted that the image symbolizes how individuals connected to the grassroots can ascend to leadership roles with talent, capability, and organizational support.
Trivedi also commented on Digvijaya Singh’s social media post critiquing Rahul Gandhi’s capabilities. He mentioned that Singh’s observations align with former US President Barack Obama’s portrayal of Rahul Gandhi in his book “The Promised Land”.
