BJP leader Madhavi Latha, who contested against AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi in the 2024 elections, spoke at the Delhi Shabdotsav 2026. She lauded PM Modi’s national unity vision and predicted BJP’s Telangana government formation by 2029. Latha emphasized BJP’s growth in Telangana, foreseeing an end to Owaisi’s dominance in Hyderabad.
Latha highlighted PM Modi’s ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas’ slogan as a blend of regional empowerment, uniting northern and southern India. She portrayed Modi as a unifying figure rooted in Sanatan Dharma, promoting national pride over divisive narratives. Hindu Dharma, according to Latha, symbolizes India’s cultural strength and initiatives like vaccine diplomacy.
Discussing her political journey, Latha credited PM Modi as her inspiration for entering politics. She secured over 3.3 lakh votes without lobbying, emphasizing public support. Latha differentiated BJP’s trust-based politics from money-driven approaches elsewhere, emphasizing clean practices and coordination within the party.
Latha clarified her arrow-shooting gesture during the 2024 campaign, explaining its symbolic representation of building a prosperous India on Ram Navami. She apologized if the gesture offended anyone, reaffirming her commitment to non-violence. Addressing internal party matters, she downplayed reports on T. Raja Singh’s exit as routine political differences, expressing confidence in resolution.
