BJP leaders criticized Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav for his remarks on the Uttar Pradesh Cabinet expansion. They claimed that ‘Gundaraj’ in the state had ended under PM Narendra Modi and CM Yogi Adityanath’s leadership. The BJP leaders expressed confidence in winning the 2027 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections.
Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav had criticized the UP government, stating that the Cabinet expansion would lead to increased inflation, corruption, and public exploitation. He doubted the effectiveness of the expansion before the 2027 elections, emphasizing the BJP government’s alleged failure to deliver in its nine years in power.
In response, BJP MP Shashank Mani Tripathi defended the Cabinet changes, noting that they bring new energy to party workers and the administration. Tripathi emphasized the commitment to forming the government for the next five years and working towards that goal. He also criticized the Samajwadi Party, asserting that the people had rejected their governance.
Uttar Pradesh Minister Kailash Singh Rajput criticized the Samajwadi Party’s tenure, accusing them of a collapse in law and order during 2012-2017. Rajput highlighted the improvements under CM Yogi Adityanath’s leadership, emphasizing the establishment of the rule of law in the state. He also alleged favoritism in government recruitments during the previous government’s tenure.
