Several BJP leaders from Madhya Pradesh, including Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, former Chief Minister and Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, state BJP chief Hemant Khandelwal, and senior Cabinet Minister Prahlad Singh Patel, celebrated the 91st birthday of veteran politician Murli Manohar Joshi. Chief Minister Yadav praised Joshi’s lifelong dedication to the nation and the BJP, emphasizing his inspirational role for the party’s youth. Union Minister Chouhan also hailed Joshi as a guiding light and a source of motivation within the BJP family.
Former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Chouhan conveyed his heartfelt wishes to Joshi, acknowledging him as a skilled organizer and a beacon of inspiration. Prahlad Singh Patel, Madhya Pradesh’s Rural Development and Panchayat Minister, visited Joshi in New Delhi to extend birthday greetings, lauding him as a figure of spiritual depth and consciousness. Patel highlighted Joshi’s role in providing guidance and solutions during challenging times for many, emphasizing his reverence for the veteran leader.
Joshi, a key figure in the Ram Janmabhoomi movement and a founding member of the BJP, led the party as its president from 1991 to 1993. He also served as the Minister of Science and Technology in the NDA government led by former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee from 1998 to 2004. In recognition of his contributions, Joshi was honored with the Padma Vibhushan, India’s second-highest civilian award, in 2017.
