Senior BJP leader and Bihar Minister Dilip Kumar Jaiswal hailed the establishment of the inaugural BJP government in West Bengal as a significant milestone, emphasizing the state’s liberation from prolonged political and developmental stagnation. Jaiswal expressed optimism about realizing the vision of a prosperous Bengal under a BJP-led administration at both the state and national levels.
Jaiswal highlighted the historic nature of Suvendu Adhikari assuming office as the Chief Minister of West Bengal, emphasizing the transformative potential under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the support of the populace. He criticized past regimes, including the Communist parties, Congress, and Trinamool Congress, for hindering the state’s progress over the years.
Dilip Ghosh, another senior BJP figure and newly appointed minister, underscored the government’s commitment to reviving Bengal, citing the urgent need to address deteriorating systems such as law and order, education, healthcare, and employment. The focus remains on ushering in a new era of development and prosperity for the state.
The swearing-in ceremony saw Suvendu Adhikari taking office as the Chief Minister of West Bengal, accompanied by five other members of the state Council of Ministers, including Dilip Ghosh, Agnimitra Paul, Nisith Pramanik, Ashok Kirtania, and Khudiram Tudu. The BJP’s success in constituencies with Matua and tribal voters played a pivotal role in the party’s historic triumph in the state.
