Madhya Pradesh BJP MLA Rameshwar Sharma criticized Tamil Nadu Leader of Opposition Udhayanidhi Stalin for his comments on Sanatan Dharma, accusing him of showing aversion towards the belief system and engaging in political polarization. Sharma emphasized that criticism of Sanatan Dharma would not weaken its essence, alleging that figures like Stalin and the Congress exhibit a bias against the faith.
Sharma highlighted that despite political attacks on Sanatan Dharma, its resilience remains unaffected. He pointed out that attempts by leaders like Stalin to criticize the belief system are aimed at voter polarization but asserted that the public sees through such motives. Sharma stressed that Sanatan Dharma, being a cultural and faith cornerstone for millions, transcends party politics and should not be exploited for electoral gains.
Amid escalating political discourse triggered by Stalin’s remarks, Sharma underscored that the enduring strength of Sanatan Dharma cannot be undermined by mere statements from politicians. He criticized parties and individuals for straying from the nation’s cultural ethos and accused them of succumbing to extremist influences to sow divisions. Sharma urged leaders to prioritize development over making statements that could offend religious sentiments.
