Ratna Debnath, BJP MLA-elect, criticized Trinamool Congress activists for inciting violence in West Bengal after the recent elections. Debnath, who won from the Panihati Assembly constituency, expressed concern over the ongoing clashes, alleging that some Trinamool supporters are masquerading as BJP members to create chaos. She emphasized that she will not allow any Trinamool activist to join the BJP.
Debnath raised alarm over incidents of violence in Panihati, where she reported clashes and vandalism by individuals claiming to be affiliated with the Trinamool party. She highlighted her efforts to address the situation by lodging complaints at local police stations and ensuring that the law is upheld regardless of personal connections.
The BJP leader disclosed an unfortunate bomb blast in the constituency that resulted in injuries and hospitalizations. Debnath stressed the need for a secure environment for administrative activities and expressed distress over the premeditated murder of a BJP leader’s aide, calling it a deeply saddening event that has affected her health.
Debnath shared her plans to address the concerns of her constituents by organizing meetings to understand and resolve their issues. She also paid tribute to the deceased aide, referring to him as a kind individual who had a close association with her family.
