BJP MLA Manab Deka praised the BJP’s remarkable success in the Assam Assembly elections, citing it as a reflection of substantial public backing for the party and its governance approach. Deka highlighted the BJP’s exceptional victory rate of about 81% in the 126-seat Assam Assembly, emphasizing the rarity of such an achievement in India’s political history.
Speaking after a BJP Legislature Party meeting in Guwahati, Deka credited the NDA’s landslide win to the party’s united organizational efforts, effective booth-level management, ethical governance, and development-focused policies under BJP leadership. He underscored the significant role played by grassroots political work in achieving electoral triumphs, asserting that success in politics requires more than just social media campaigns.
Deka also pointed out the BJP government’s emphasis on transparent administration, welfare programs, and infrastructure development as key factors in earning public trust. He criticized the Congress, questioning the need for validation from a party that faced a resounding defeat in the elections. Deka confidently stated that the BJP does not require approval from a party that experienced a significant decline in the Assembly.
The BJP-led NDA is poised to form the government in Assam for a third consecutive term, with Himanta Biswa Sarma set to be sworn in as Chief Minister for a second successive term.
