BJP MP Anurag Thakur lauded the Modi government for the Union Budget 2026-27, hailing it as a ‘Sarva Mangalkari’ and ‘Sarvjan Hitay Sarvjan Sukhaye’ budget focused on inclusive growth and national advancement. Thakur highlighted the budget’s alignment with a 12-year reform journey, emphasizing the shift from “policy paralysis to policy performance,” “leakage to delivery,” “megabytes to gigabytes,” “megawatts to gigawatts,” and “corruption to confidence.”
In a dig at the Congress party and Rahul Gandhi, Thakur criticized their past corruption, attributing it to India’s economic struggles during their tenure. He credited the Modi government for elevating India to the world’s fourth-largest economy and highlighted the empowerment of women under the current administration.
Thakur commended Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman for presenting the budget for the ninth time, expressing gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the opportunity to address the House. He emphasized the budget’s inclusive nature, describing it as a roadmap for national rejuvenation and fiscal prudence, catering to the needs of all segments of society.
