BJP MP Sudhanshu Trivedi advised Opposition parties to move beyond political animosity and focus on national interest rather than opposing the Modi government zealously. Trivedi’s remarks came following criticism from the Opposition, including Rahul Gandhi, over Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s recent call for reducing reliance on foreign goods, cutting fuel consumption, and supporting domestic products. Responding to the Opposition’s allegations, Trivedi highlighted the global nature of the crisis, emphasizing that it is not limited to India but is a worldwide challenge.
Trivedi posed three questions to his political rivals, questioning whether any part of the world is currently unaffected by economic, strategic, or energy crises. He also inquired whether the Opposition supports securing India’s future economic and energy interests. Additionally, he raised concerns about the Opposition’s potential impact on the economic and energy sectors, questioning if their actions could lead to disorder in these critical areas.
Highlighting the ongoing global crisis encompassing security, economic, and energy challenges, Trivedi emphasized the importance of Prime Minister Modi’s recent appeal for frugality in spending foreign exchange. He stressed that the Prime Minister’s message aimed at ensuring the economic and energy security of the nation during these turbulent times. Trivedi criticized the Opposition’s accusations as unfortunate, urging them to transcend their political differences and prioritize national welfare over divisive politics.
