Punjab BJP President Sunil Jakhar criticized Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann for allegedly making misleading statements about bomb blasts, accusing him of attempting to disrupt communal harmony in the state. Jakhar emphasized that the BJP would resist any such divisive efforts. Following the CM’s accusations against the BJP regarding the bomb blasts, a party delegation approached the Director General of Police seeking an investigation into what they termed a conspiracy behind the allegations.
The delegation expressed readiness for arrest at the police headquarters, urging action if evidence existed against them. They also demanded an inquiry into the CM and other AAP leaders for their unfounded accusations. Jakhar condemned the CM’s remarks as not only endangering communal harmony but also seditious, potentially aiding Pakistan’s defense against terrorism allegations on international platforms.
Jakhar further criticized the CM for potentially exonerating Pakistan by implicating the ISI in the blasts while damaging India’s global reputation. Alleging that the CM was a pawn in a larger scheme orchestrated by Arvind Kejriwal, Jakhar accused the AAP of deliberately stoking communal tensions in Punjab for political motives. He highlighted a coordinated effort by AAP leaders to incite hatred in the state, pointing to their history of making divisive statements.
