BJP National President J.P. Nadda has accused certain Congress leaders of being connected to the 2013 Jhiram Ghati Maoist attack, where numerous state party officials lost their lives. In response, Congress leader Pawan Khera has raised concerns about the timing of these allegations, labeling them as “childish claims” by the Union Health Minister. Khera emphasized the need for a thorough investigation into the serious accusations made by Nadda.
CPI General Secretary D. Raja has called for clarity and transparency regarding Nadda’s claims, urging him to specify which Congress leaders he is implicating. Raja emphasized the importance of distinguishing between politically motivated statements and factual evidence. He highlighted the complexities in Chhattisgarh, referencing recent developments and the need for accountability from both political parties.
During the ‘Janadesh Parab’ event marking two years of the Vishnu Deo Sai government, Nadda alleged that movement details of Congress leaders were leaked internally, leading to the fatal ambush that claimed the lives of prominent figures like Nand Kumar Patel and Mahendra Karma. Nadda also criticized Congress for its historical ties to extremists and pledged to eliminate Maoism by March 2026 with the current government’s efforts.
