Launching a scathing attack on the ruling Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in Punjab, BJP President Nitin Nabin criticized the state government and Chief Minister for disrespecting the Gurus. Nabin accused the government of leading Punjab into a financial crisis, labeling the state as an “ATM” due to excessive borrowing.
Addressing a gathering of over 8,000 party workers in Ludhiana, Nabin hinted at the BJP’s intention to contest the 2027 Punjab Assembly elections independently. Emphasizing the importance of honoring the Gurus, he called for accountability from the administration that he claims has failed to deliver for the people.
Nabin highlighted Punjab’s economic challenges, citing a massive debt of Rs 4 lakh crore and alleging misappropriation of central funds. He pledged to recover any misused funds post the 2027 elections, emphasizing the BJP’s commitment to addressing issues like drug abuse, gangsterism, and financial burdens in the state.
Asserting that only the BJP has the resolve to rescue Punjab from its crises, Nabin pointed to the party’s track record of fulfilling promises at the national level. He urged voters to remove the current administration, aiming for a prosperous and developed Punjab under the BJP’s governance.
