The BJP’s campaign efforts will also feature Union Minister J P Nadda conducting significant public programs in the state on Monday. Nadda’s schedule includes a roadshow in Burwan, Behrampur district, at 11:00 a.m., from Panchtupi Netaji Statue to Ghoshpara, followed by a public rally at 12:45 p.m. in Monglamoaro, Patashpur Purba in Kanthi district. During a recent rally in Balurghat, Nabin criticized West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and the Congress for hindering the implementation of women’s reservation in legislatures.
Nabin accused Mamata Banerjee of betraying the women of Bengal by colluding with parties like the Congress to obstruct the passage of the women’s reservation bill in the Lok Sabha. He called on women voters in the state to hold her accountable, alleging that the Trinamool Congress government had failed to ensure the safety of women, referencing incidents at R.G. Kar Hospital and a medical college in Durgapur. Nabin emphasized the importance of removing the Trinamool from power to address issues like infiltration, demographic changes, and national security.
